Now for today's post: I take great enjoyment sharing these success stories of my clients because they are the ones who will inspire you to set your goals and achieve them.

I’ve always heard that people come into our lives for a reason; and after meeting a foodie named Adam in Seoul, South Korea, I now believe it.

A coworker at my English language school had introduced us and we became fast friends. And on our second meeting, over Korean barbeque and soju (a Korean rice liquor), we talked about everything and anything—from our first kisses to my poor state of health. Without a word, he took out a pen and wrote your blog address on my hand. I am forever thankful to him and to you.

From the time I was 16, I had been drinking alcohol like a desert animal drinks water. I’d suffered with bulimia since middle school and I’d never had a regular period. When I came to you, it had been 11 months since I got off birth control, without so much as a drop of blood in my panties during that time. My doctors all told me to get back on the pill, to take progesterone tablets to induce my menses and everything would be fine. I refused to believe this was the only option.

The night I got home from dinner with Adam, I spent hours reading your website. And after coming across a posting about your own struggle with hormone imbalance, I immediately emailed you.

Our first Skype session filled me with such encouragement and inspiration; and the next day I went cold turkey: no coffee, no added sugar, no alcohol. I began properly combining my food and making sure to have a handful of nuts on me at all times. I stopped eating soy products.

One year later, I can happily report that I’ve had a period every month for the last ten months. My PCOS is completely gone, my melasma has improved dramatically, and I have boundless energy.

I can’t thank you enough. You not only gave me the tools to help myself, but the encouragement to do so. I look forward to the day when I can write your blog address on someone else’s hand.
